Paper LanternsThis story was a sudden inspiration. I love Japanese rituals of all kinds, but this funeral ritual struck me. I was watching TV one day and watched this long documentary on it. Suddenly inspired, I wrote this story, involving Desert, simply because he is Japanese, and Mage, because of the ritual's demand for someone close to the one performing it to be present. BlueMage and Fox appear with permission of their players.
